We are glad to let you know of the best way to ensure that your teller numbers are entered in online banking by the cashier at the bank. When you are completing your deposit/teller slip, make sure you enter your teller number after your name. If you are making a bulk payment then write your name, payment memo followed by teller number in bracket ().
Finally, all Fist Bank teller numbers will start with "FB". Please add FB in front of your numbers to activate it on our website

Single Deposit Example:
When completing your teller slip at the bank, if your name is John Doe and the teller slip you selected to complete has a teller number 123456. When you fill out the slip to give the cashier, you write in the name section as "John Doe (123456)" or "John (123456)" or "Doe (123456)".
By doing this, the cashier will have no choice but to enter the teller number on the bank online system. Also to be sure, make sure after completion that you tell the cashier to enter your teller number on the system. Finally, when activating this teller number on 1dollarbuzz, you write FB123456

BULK Deposit Example:
When completing your teller slip at the bank for bulk payments for 2 or 3 or 4 or 5 people etc for example under $1 option (=N= 200 per person), if your name is John Doe and the teller slip you selected to complete has a teller number 987654. When you fill out the slip to give the cashier, you write in the name section as "John 1MEMO(987654)" or "Doe 1MEMO(987654) or 1MEMO(987654)".
By doing this, the cashier will have no choice but to enter the teller number on the bank online system. Finally, when activating this teller number on 1dollarbuzz, you write FB987654A, FB987654B, FB987654C, FB987654D and FB987654E.

If you do not see the Bank Icon with "LOCAL" text for teller number activation at bottom of page when you log in, then it means you are saved under the dollar ($) settings only. You need to be in the Naira settings to be able to see the bank Icon. If you do not see both dollar ($) and Naira (=N=) values when you log into your account, then it means you are in the USA settings. To change it to Naira settings, click the Account Settings link, select the Nigerian Naira radio button, scroll to the bottom of page to update your bank details, then click then Update button.

NOTE: If your teller number starts with a zero (0) and if your number does not work when you try to activate your teller number, please remove the zero (0) and try again. Sometimes we receive this numbers from the bank without a zero (0). Example, you might have a teller number 05673298, however, we may receive the info from the bank as 5673298.

You can still activate yourself and multiple users as paid if you paid for multiple people with 1 teller #. First, when making the deposit, you should write membership option as the deposit name on the deposit slip, this will let us know what server to upload the teller number to. Next, we would upload the teller number with alphabets A, B, C, D and so on at the end of the number to account for each members to be activated. For example, a member deposits N1000 and at the bank and he writes "1 memo" as the depositor name and they get a teller number 1234. When we receive this data from the bank, we automatically know that the amount of N1000 is payment for 5 people on $1 membership option. We then upload teller numbers 1234A, 1234B, 1234C, 1234D and 1234E to the server. Please allow 1 to 6hours after bank close before attempting to activate teller numbers. For other multiple payments use the format below:
For $5 membership enter deposit name as "5 memo"
For $10 membership enter deposit name as "10 memo"
For $30 membership enter deposit name as "30 memo"

If a teller number starts with 0 (zero) and when you try activating it on 1dollarbuzz when you log in and it does not work, try removing the 0 (zero) and try again. Sometimes we receive a number without a 0 from the bank while you might have a 0 (zero) at the beginning of your receipt. For Example, if your teller number is 0737126, the bank sends it to us as 737126. So when you try activating 0737126 and it does not work, try 737126 etc.

For Nigerian members, you should make sure that your account is in the Naira settings. This happens when you use a short code given to you by someone. Do not use anyone's short code. Every member is given a unique short code for sms payment when they access the sms payment app on the website. That is how the system knows who payed and from what cell phone number etc. The "35811" simply refers to sms text/phone number for country Nigeria while the Short Code is a UNIQUE generated number to identify the current payee, each person will see a different short code. If you use someone else's short code you will surely get an error or "MASSAGE NOT DELIVERED" message. This is common simple logic because how can everyone use the same short code? how would we identify each person that paid etc. The sms system works perfectly and 99.9% of the time if you have any error messages it means you must have done something wrong. Try to read the FAQ questions on sms payment before you make wrong judgements.
